A funeral for Shaniya Davis has been scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Manna Church located at 5117 Cliffdale Road in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The funeral will be open to the public.

Shaniya is a beautiful little girl who I never met but has touched my heart and spirit. Like many people here we watched, read, prayed, hoped and cried for her safe return and now her murder.
She went missing Tuesday morning the 10th of Nov 09 and today Monday the 16th hundreds of people came to search for her and her safe return. They did find her but not the way we all prayed for. her tiny body was found off of Walker Rd. in Sanford, N.C. around 1:30pm.
Police said they received "reliable information" that the girl may have been placed there.
- On Friday, Nov. 13, police arrested Mario Andrette McNeill, 29, in the early morning hours and charged him with first-degree kidnapping.They acted on a tip that Shaniya had been spotted in a hotel in Sanford, N.C.
Surveillance footage from the hotel showed McNeill carrying Shaniya into the hotel at 6:11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 -- more than 40 minutes before she was reported missing.
He stayed about an hour, Capt. Mark Bridgeman of the Fayetteville Police Dept. said.
Shaniya' s mother told police she hadn't seen Shaniya since she put her down on the couch at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 in Fayetteville, N.C.
Her mother reported her disappearance at 6:53 a.m.
- On Saturday, Nov. 14 police filed charges against a second person -- Shaniya's mother, Antoinette Nicole Davis.Davis is charged with human trafficking, child abuse involving prostitution and filing a false police report.
My heart and many others is breaking for this sweet child who had only been in her Mother's care for about a month. Her Mother told Shaniya' s Father who had raised her "she wanted a chance to be a Mother to her little girl".
With in weeks she sold her into sexual slavery and now this sweet baby is dead.

Dear Shaniya,
I hope u can see this from heaven. I am sorry you had to go through this pain and that your mom didnt love you in the right way. I have a son who is five I am always watching him. I know Jesus is watching over you and you dont feel pain anymore. You look so much like my Isabel who is 8 her birthday is June 12. I bet she would've like to have a playmate like you. I'll see you someday in heaven where we'll sing songs of glory to the Lord. I love you. I am praying for your family and for them to be comforted.
Jesus is the only way to heaven and the only way to live this life.

Rest in peace lil shaniya you will always be missed i dont even no you like that but i feel so bad for what had happen cause you didnt deserve this to happen to you mario is gone get what he deserve and the mom is to cause that goes to show people how sorry of a mom she was every chance i get i look at your pictures cause shaniya was a very crute little girl i just wish i had her or somebody in there right could have took shaniya and treated her like she was suppose to be treated how sick can people get i love kids cause i have two of my own shaniya didnt deserve this at all so now she is in haven playing wit the lil angels god got her in his care.

My dear sweet child...I am so sorry you had to go at such a young age and in a painful way. You are not forgotten My child, so many people are keeping you in their pray's that GOD has you close to his arms and in his arms you will never be scare or feel pain every again. Rest to sure MY child Justice will be done whether in the eyes of the law or not...the real justice will be when the people who harm use face our Father in Heaven justice will prevail.
